Help Me Pick Out My New Glasses?

Just came home to the OC for the night and my Warby Parker Home Try-Ons have arrived. Deciding which ones I want to order right now. Thoughts?

Dinner with Amigos

This past Sunday, after Friday night in DT, Grant's amazing graduation party on Saturday, and an adorable bridal shower for Larissa, we finished up the weekend at mi casa. My mom made an amazing meal (as usual), with tandoori chicken, ground beef curry, aloo gobi, salad, raita, and daal. We finished up the night with mango lassis, tea, and my cookies, which I'll post the recipe for tomorrow. Great night with great friends. I don't know what I would do without them :-)

DIY Addiction and Happenings

I like DIY stuff. But let's be real. Unless I have someone with the patience of Mother Theresa calming me down, I very rarely have the energy to follow something through AND do a good job. Which you will see when I post photos of my revamped end tables. That has not stopped me from keeping track of craft inspiration on Pinterest. And now with the discovery of CraftGawker, my life as I know it is now over.

On Monday, Grant, Scott and Jason helped me move my furniture to the new apt. I have no idea how I would have done it without them. In fact, I wouldn't have done it. Literally, my life line those boys are. Then Tawsh came down and we celebrated the new digs at the Nirvana Bar in Little Tokyo and did karaoke. I butchered "Rolling in the Deep" but Bobes rocked "Ring of Fire."

Then on Tuesday, Muschk, Tray, J, and I went to the apartment so my mom and aunt could put on the finishing touches. I was meant to stay there, but got a bit anxious and hightailed it back home with them after we hit up King Taco (so, so good).

Then I had an amazing day yesterday (despite a couple of blips) with mis amigos in downtown Fullerton. First, Bobes and I met the beautiful and lovely Kat at Eden Cafe on Wilshire for lavender milk snow, citron honey snow and iced coffee. Then the gorgeous Anya arrived and we went to The Pint House for some beers, fries and jalapeno poppers, which is where Senor Scott met us.

I am currently 16% done with my thesis, which is pretty good considering I've only been working on it for about 24 hours. I'm hoping to be at 20% tonight so I can enjoy a weekend, which includes but is not limited to a bridal shower, a baby shower, the arrival of Mr. Max Goldsmith, and a grad party. Time to get back to work!

xoxo

And to end, a pic of my boys from last night:

I want...

S'mores.
Today was the first lazy day I had since I came back home. But lazy isn't really my thing, so I'm excited for tomorrow, which includes seeing Lex (!) and going to Em's wedding(!!)...
Currently grilling a pork tenderloin and making potato croquettes.
Could do work on the dissertation, but I brought the books out of the car today and that seems productive enough.

{Day in Photos} Day in LA

Drove to the library at UCLA yesterday to pick up books on trafficking for my dissertation. Enjoyed lunch with Sam on Kerckhoff patio before heading to Santa Monica to check out Katie's new apartment and enjoy a chai latte at Jack 'n Jills. Then met Janika for an amazing hot yoga sculpt class at Hot 8 Yoga. Definitely going back - it was one was the best yoga classes I have been to. Hot yoga scares me every time I do it, but I always leave the classes feeling so revitalized and happy. Finished up the day at Urth with a Farmer's Market Salad. Some photos from the day:

God, I love summer + {Music} + {Fashion}

Made honey rosemary lemonade and rose cardamom ice cream last night. Then went on a run, followed by a Skype sesh with Leils, lavender milk tea in downtown Fullerton and some vintage shopping with Nathalie (Check out her adorable blog here). Now watching True Blood and making cauliflower and cheese sauce for dinner. Tomorrow heading up to the UCLA libs for some research, lunch with Sam, yoga with Nika and drinks with Katie. How amazing is my life? I'm so happy to be home :-)

Other plans include: drinks with Becky, a wedding (!), and maybe the Rosebowl Flea Market. Anyone want to join?
