Recovery

Suffering from post-coachella depression while nursing allergies/a cold/some sort of plague. Leaving for Santa Cruz tomorrow - thank god I have 24 hours to get my ears to pop before heading up. Plans include trips to my favorite coffee places, vintage shopping, beach days, yoga, runs on westcliff, trips to SF, checking out the farmers market, seeing Cassi and Carrie in addition to catching up with my SC posse.

Having coffee with my old friend Crystal tonight and starting my laundry now (if I can muster the energy.)

25 Days...

Till I am home! I am oh-so-excited to see my family but I can't believe that this term has sped by so fast. But looking back, it was quite the drama-/fun-/crazy-filled few weeks. Some highlights so far:

1. Partying at Whisky Mist, where the girls and I were gifted with a table and bottle service.

2. A Friday night trip to the ER following the episode of projectile vomiting by a random in our kitchen (and they were unrelated incidents.)

3. The relaxing trip to Brighton with girls

4. Too much shopping: Dresses, Coachella wardrobe and Shoes :-)

5. Discovering the delicious music of First Aid Kit, Young Prisms, Joe Gil, James Vincent McMorrow, Adele, and some amazing covers.

5. Concert planning: Edward Sharpe, Coachella and Bob Dylan - yay!

6. A visit to a London police station after my friend got mugged.

7. An amazing trip to Oxford, complete with a pub crawl and cookies.

8. London Fashion Weekend - Need I say more?

{Inspiration} Foer, Pad Thai, {Music} Coachella, Nicki Minaj, & Ingrid Michaelson covers Skinny Love

This day has been magical to say the very least. Alexandra and I bought tickets to Coachella last night, which I have been wanting to go to for the last four years and finally committed. And the Coachella lineup was released last night! So excited to see Kings of Leon, Cee Lo Green, The National, Warpaint, Arcade Fire, Mumford and Sons, Bright Eyes, 2 Door Cinema Club, Tallest Man on Earth, the Cults, Kanye (!), Ratatat, Agnus and Julia Stone and Jenny & Johnny!!!!!! (Plus all the other amazing bands that I can't even register right now)

With that wonderful news and a night of no nightmares (which seems rare these days,) I slept in, ordered pad thai, did reading for my Sylvia Chant class, and am now waiting to see one of my favorite novelists, Jonathan Safran Foer speak at LSE tonight.

Nicki Minaj tomorrow night and coffee with my cousin tomorrow morning and I am booking tickets to Ireland soon!

And I discovered this gorgeous cover of one my favorite songs by one of my favorite artists:

I need to stop being obsessed with this song - this cover doesn't help my addiction.
