Designer shopping and runway shows at the Somerset House on the Strand - a legit Sunday for sure. Picked up an adorbz black leather clutch and a DKNY denim dress - perfect for spring in California. A much better way to start the week. Highlights:
Just watched True Grit - amazing. But probably not suitable for the mood I am in and I'll probably have a nightmare tonight. Agh. London Fashion Weekend show tomorrow. Hopefully, the showbag will put me in a better mood.
A night out in Camden with the girls. I love Camden - a little gritty, a litte trendy, a little off-beat. Me gusta mucho. We went to Shaka Zulu - the interior was amazing. I want some of the chairs for my hypothetical abode in the future.
So I'm excited because I bought tickets to see Bob Dylan for my brother, mom, dad and me this summer - I killed three birds with a very large stone because I'm claiming it's their birthday presents :-)
Plus, WE GET TO SEE THE LEGEND HIMSELF! Even if his voice is waning, it's Bob. Bob Dylan. BOB DYLAN.
But these were their reactions after I emailed them:
Jason: No response. (Totally standard - the ungrateful little thing he is, although I still absolutely adore him.)
My mom: "Well, I also want to go to see Santana in Vegas. Can you work on that?"
My dad (slightly better): "Awwwwww!!! you are SUCH A LOVING DAUGHTER!!! Thank you so MUCH dear...If your mother is as thrilled as I am...then ALL IS GOOD!!!!"
(However, his overuse of exclamation points, inexplicable capitalization and his obvious knowledge of my mother's demands annoyed me.)
Anyway, I'm excited to see Bob, even if my family will take some time to build up enthusiasm.
Also, I've decided to sell organs to pay for all this - my liver is shot, but I have an extra kidney. Maybe I'll donate eggs - If you want a child with the musical talent of both Beyonce and Jay-Z who can read really really well, then definitely shoot me an email.
