Jas Comes Home (at some point) Today!

I haven't seen my brother since he hightailed it off to Santa Cruz in the spring. Although we talk on the phone almost every day, I can't wait to see him in person, have him make me his delicious food, bombard him with hugs and make him go with me to all the movies I've been meaning to see.

I know we will probably get into at least 3-4 squabbles over the state of feminism, what beer we should buy, and my poor taste in men, but those will probably be my favorite moments of the weekend.

Also Bobes, I'm apologizing now, but I borrowed your Bukowski reader and may or may not have earmarked the hell out of it.

LOVE YOUUUUU and CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOUUUUU

Summer Send-Off BBQ for Bobes

My whisker-bobes aka jason aka my twin aka my bffl took off this past Monday to teach at an inner city school in Milwaukee. Grant and Scott came down and we had a lovely BBQ and I cried like a baby and I love him and miss him terribly already, although he is having so much fun :-)

{Music} for Bobes

Although I spent most my break mildly peeved with my brother, my agitation has worn off and I'm starting to miss him. It's pretty inexplicable, but today I started listening to some of his old favorites and hoping that he'll actually sign onto Skype. Wow, that sounds more pathetic than I meant it to. Oh well - love you Bobes!
He used to play this Simon and Garfunkel album on repeat through EVERY night in high school - I still hear it my dreams.
One of the songs that I played for him that he reluctantly agreed was "decent":
Hearing him sing this song makes my day, everyday:

Whiskers is coming home today!

Thank god for my friend, Hannah, who had to literally break into Jas' house to wrangle him out of bed at 8am this morning. I will see him by tonight - can't wait to actually give him a hug. asdhfakjsdfjaksdjflkajsdf;asdjfldkajfsdlkfjas;ldjflasjdflak;sjdflkajsdflk

Our friend, Ben, calls the portrait above "The Modern Thinker." :-)
