{Wednesday Inspiration}

A good week so far! Rahia and I took advantage of the $1 Coffee Bean deal yesterday and I got to sample the red velvet hot chocolate which was much more reminiscent of a marshmallow as well as the English toffee latte, which kept up until the wee hours of the night. Tonight, Aviva and I are planning a nice long study sesh with my personal goal being finishing my crim law outline. The rest of the week is looking much calmer than originally planned, but dinner with Rahia on Friday and an ortho appt on Saturday. Cool times guys, when the highlight of my weekend is picking out new colored rubber bands for my braces. Anyway, listen to the song below... Isn't it vaguely similar to Bon Iver's For Emma? Just a little? Lovesit. My favorite blogs, including SFgirlbybay and Cup of Jo, have been posting some amazing things lately, so check them out (a little sample is below :-) )
Hope everyone is having a great week!

DIY Addiction and Happenings

I like DIY stuff. But let's be real. Unless I have someone with the patience of Mother Theresa calming me down, I very rarely have the energy to follow something through AND do a good job. Which you will see when I post photos of my revamped end tables. That has not stopped me from keeping track of craft inspiration on Pinterest. And now with the discovery of CraftGawker, my life as I know it is now over.

On Monday, Grant, Scott and Jason helped me move my furniture to the new apt. I have no idea how I would have done it without them. In fact, I wouldn't have done it. Literally, my life line those boys are. Then Tawsh came down and we celebrated the new digs at the Nirvana Bar in Little Tokyo and did karaoke. I butchered "Rolling in the Deep" but Bobes rocked "Ring of Fire."

Then on Tuesday, Muschk, Tray, J, and I went to the apartment so my mom and aunt could put on the finishing touches. I was meant to stay there, but got a bit anxious and hightailed it back home with them after we hit up King Taco (so, so good).

Then I had an amazing day yesterday (despite a couple of blips) with mis amigos in downtown Fullerton. First, Bobes and I met the beautiful and lovely Kat at Eden Cafe on Wilshire for lavender milk snow, citron honey snow and iced coffee. Then the gorgeous Anya arrived and we went to The Pint House for some beers, fries and jalapeno poppers, which is where Senor Scott met us.

I am currently 16% done with my thesis, which is pretty good considering I've only been working on it for about 24 hours. I'm hoping to be at 20% tonight so I can enjoy a weekend, which includes but is not limited to a bridal shower, a baby shower, the arrival of Mr. Max Goldsmith, and a grad party. Time to get back to work!

xoxo

And to end, a pic of my boys from last night:

{Inspiration} Birthday, Death Cab, Bukowski & Britney

This sums me up in a just a few words and would be the perfect birthday present (hint, hint)
This $25 print by Jennifer Ramos found via Grey Likes Weddings
This poem from Charles Bukowski:

I will remember your small room
the feel of you
the light in the window
your records
your books
our morning coffee
our noons our nights
our bodies spilled together
sleeping
the tiny flowing currents
immediate and forever
your leg my leg
your arm my arm
your smile and the warmth
of you
who made me laugh
again.

Charles Bukowski

The new Death Cab for Cutie found via my friend, Karly. Sometimes, when I listen to Death Cab, I just want to cry. I'm really liking Codes and Keys.

{Travel} Camping/RVing

Many tend to think I'm a princess when it comes to, well, anything. On the contrary, I really love camping and hiking and all things outdoors (as long as there isn't cliff diving, snakes, or out of control bonfires.) I'd love to pack up an RV and camp and see more of the US. And yes, I'm completely aware that these photos aren't a realistic vision of that experience but they are soooooo pretty, so sorry 'bout it.
