Sophie + Stick and Other Things I Love
Back to work after this weekend. Sophie and I were up early destroying pink porcupines and reading about juvenile justice.
I'm heading to school soon for office hours and business associations. I would like to squeeze a workout in, but we'll see how it goes. A few pics from this morning and a few things I'm liking in addition to my babybear. (I need to diversify, or otherwise, I'll be completely anti-social.)
Sophie with my dad. She is as big as his shoe. Still about a pound underweight, but she's eating like a horse:
Love this new Dior doc.
I want everything from Hello Pretty, a new online store, including these endtables and totebag.
Finally found my new bedroom inspiration from StyleFile via SFGirlBytheBay:

ERs and Weddings
Sooooo - its all been a bit crazy in these parts.
First, the pup:
My little sweetheart was diagnosed with tapeworm and giardia (another parasite) last week, right after she was spayed. On Thursday, she was doing way better and prancing around, but then on Friday, she was extremely lethargic and feverish. Her doctor in HP said that it was just the antibiotics, but when she refused water, I freaked out and took her the Orange County Emergency Animal Hospital. They are phenomenal and within minutes diagnosed her with parvo (cue my mother's hysteria.) Parvo has a really low survival rate, about 15 percent, without treatment. BUT with treatment, its just a little puppy flu. Catching it early and treating it with intense care with IVs and antibiotics, little Sophs just had to be hospitalized for three days (as in I'm not going to be able to eat out for the next six months). But she's home and playing and precious and everyone is in love with her. (My eyes are still puffy from the sobbing I did.)
Second, Rahia's wedding was this weekend and was phenomenal. It was held at the Long Beach Westin and was a proper Pakistani Muslim wedding with beautiful suits and delicious food. Rahia was the most beautiful bride and I'm just so happy for her and Farooq. It was gorgeous and of course I cried. (I really need to hydrate.) Maggie and I snuck into the honeymoon suite and went a little crazy with rose petal (lol see below).
So now I'm just cuddling with the pup, doing some reading, preparing for another new job, and just chillin and eating banana cream pie. yum.
xoxo

Introducing Sophie
The love of my life.
I've been thinking of adopting for months, but was waiting for the right one. And then as I was tired and irritated on Saturday I randomly flipped through the animal shelter website and found her. I rushed over at 4:30 with Jenaba bc they were closing at 5pm. I saw her through the quarantine glass and she yawned and it was a done deal.
So after a deworming and spaying and several pet store shopping sprees, I brought my little Sophie home. She lost a pound over the last week (she went from 7.5 pounds to 6.5 bc of the worms and surgery), so she's on a holistic superfood diet to plump her up.
Let me tell you that this girl has spunk and just melts my heart every time she toddles within a five mile radius of me.
I've totally become of one of those people and I don't even care because she's so cute and I love her and omg I can't deal like make it stop she's so cute.
