SKB: Birthdays and Beer
We've been busy, busy :-)
Tuesday was my birthday and we essentially ate our way through London. It was an amazing day and I am so blessed to have the legit friends that I do. Even though I was far from home, my peeps here in London made sure I had a great time and all the notes and emails I received made the day even better, especially the phone call with my twinsie :-). Anywho, Maya and Leiley met us for breakfast at the Breakfast Club - yum yum. Then we stopped by Bea's for some chai tea lattes. Katie and Sara headed down to Oxford and Regent to hit up the stores, including the famed Liberty. (And I studied - yay school!) Then we met up to get ready for dinner - thai food at Thai Square on Upper Street and Alina, Brian, Maya, Elisa and Leiley came as well. We were meant to go out but after a couple of bottles of wine and a long day, we just came back to my room with everyone and relaxed. It was wonderful to just chill out and be with the people I love :-)
Then yesterday, we went to Sweet for a quick breakfast and then hunted down a Banksy piece near my dorm. Many of the ones in London have been painted over, but we did get to enjoy his work, despite the paint streaks. We then did a bit more shopping and got Ben's in Covent Garden and then headed to St. Martins in the Fields Crypt for lunch. We enjoyed the gorgeous sunshine in Trafalgar Sq. Katie and Sara checked out the National Portrait Gallery. Sara almost died when she saw the portrait of Harry and William and Katie loved the Mary Wollstonecraft painting. The weather has been out of this world amazing with gorgeous sunshine and blue skies - I've been using my sunglasses for the first time since I moved here!
We went out for Greek food and then a pint (or two or three) at the Harlequin.
Today, we are headed to Sloane Sq. for brunch, followed by the Kensington Palace and then afternoon tea at the Orangery. Then Maya, Leiley and Brian are meeting us for clubbing!
