Introducing Sophie

The love of my life.

I've been thinking of adopting for months, but was waiting for the right one. And then as I was tired and irritated on Saturday I randomly flipped through the animal shelter website and found her. I rushed over at 4:30 with Jenaba bc they were closing at 5pm. I saw her through the quarantine glass and she yawned and it was a done deal.

So after a deworming and spaying and several pet store shopping sprees, I brought my little Sophie home. She lost a pound over the last week (she went from 7.5 pounds to 6.5 bc of the worms and surgery), so she's on a holistic superfood diet to plump her up.

Let me tell you that this girl has spunk and just melts my heart every time she toddles within a five mile radius of me.

I've totally become of one of those people and I don't even care because she's so cute and I love her and omg I can't deal like make it stop she's so cute.

First week doneeeeee

This is going to be an amazing semester. But it's a lil cray and I'm still trying to find my bearings. So the trafficking report with USC is going well. The LACA is gearing up for some big cases. I adore my professors and I love my friends.

I've been also eating well, despite my poverty (let's not talk about it).

Unfortunately, work was too crazy for me to go to SD for my friend's bachelorette and I have a law review orientation all day tomorrow. BUT then Echo Park Rising (an all day music festival) and I'm currently paging through Vogue.

Besitos.

Weekend of Freedom

My work and school schedule starts today, which means 8am - 10pm days. So this past weekend, between doing laundry, an ortho appt, cleaning the house (new bar/pantry organization - wooo), and doing my reading as well as some work, I found time to go to the beach on Friday, have tacos and beer with Grant on Friday (love him), hang out with my mommy, do brunch with my housemate, and hit up a concert at the Greek last night. I don't really follow Gavin DeGraw or Colbie Caillat anymore, but Ellie's friend got us backstage and Gavin said I was amazing, so maybe I'll have to start listening again :-)

The only sore points of my weekend was that my a/c broke and figuring out my finances - roughhhhh times lol.

Some snapshots over the last three days:

New vintage dress:
 Pancakes on Friday:

Malibu beach day:
Astro Diner Night on Saturday - yum hot chocolate

Summer Send-Off BBQ for Bobes

My whisker-bobes aka jason aka my twin aka my bffl took off this past Monday to teach at an inner city school in Milwaukee. Grant and Scott came down and we had a lovely BBQ and I cried like a baby and I love him and miss him terribly already, although he is having so much fun :-)
